Fayetteville, NC is an All-America city that has a lot going for it. There are many attractions, including ASOM, SEGRA Stadium, and the Crown Complex. Today, we’re focusing on the greatest spots in Fayetteville worth driving to for nature lovers. Find the perfect vehicle for the trip on our new inventory, and discover the perfect Volkswagen for your lifestyle!

1. Cape Fear Botanical Garden

If you are a nature lover, you have to check out Cape Fear Botanical Garden at 536 N. Eastern Blvd. If you’re not a member of CFBG, you will need to pay a $10 admission fee to enter.

Any children you have between the ages of six and 12 require a $5 ticket. One thing we love about Cape Fear Botanical Garden is that your admission grants you access to special exhibits and many events, like yoga classes. Other classes require payment, but CFBG members can enjoy discounts.

2. Cape Fear River Trail

We also recommend the Cape Fear River Trail at 511 Sherman Dr to everyone who loves spending time enjoying nature. This paved trail winds along over five miles of the Cape Fear River, and it is truly a sight to behold.  You can bike down the whole trail and back, rollerblade along the trail, or walk down a portion of it.

Regardless of how you choose to enjoy the trail, we recommend stopping at J. Bayard Clark Park & Nature Center at 631 Sherman Drive along your journey. You can take a break from the sun and view live animals at the nature center. You can even watch them eat their dinner depending on when you arrive at the nature center.

3. Lake Rim Park

Additionally, we recommend visiting Lake Rim Park at 2214 Tar Kiln Dr. This beautiful park features lots to enjoy, including a one-mile trail to Bones Creek through the wetlands. If you don’t want to walk a full mile, you can walk just a segment of the trail. It can be modified so you only walk 0.15 to 0.7 miles.

There are also three sports fields, tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts. If you’re not in the mood for outdoor team sports or hiking, there are several other outdoor activities you can enjoy while feeling your connection with nature strengthen. You can also fish in Bones Creek, even without your own equipment, thanks to the loaning program here.

There are many great spots near Fayetteville that you can drive to and relax while enjoying the natural beauty around you. However, you need a reliable vehicle, like a 2023 Volkswagen Taos, to have the freedom to enjoy the area on your own terms. To take a new Taos for a test drive, visit us today at Valley Auto World.
