    Let me start by saying, the customer service I have received during this past week has been unparalleled! Patrick and Nick were great to deal with, as well as the gentlemen that helped me when I came to pickup the Tiguan on Saturday. I'm sorry I didn't catch his name. He explained he had actually been the one to test drive the car. Although they weren't able to replicate the issue I was having (a shaking/vibrating when idling/at stop after driving for a decent amount of time), they assured me I could bring it back in if it continued to happen. They performed this service free of charge. Unfortunately, after I signed my checkout paperwork and went to leave, my car was not unlocking. My husband (who brought me to pickup) drove over in his truck just to make sure I wasn't going crazy and he also couldn't unlock the door. I typically use the keyless entry on the door handle. My husband told me to try the key fob and that did work to lock and unlock the car. We walked back in and explained the issue. The gentlemen who was helping us, walked out and also couldn't get the handle lock to work so he used the key fob to unlock it and drove it around back. He said it would take a few mins but after a bit, he came out and explained that they typically have 14 techs and that day, they only had 2. I asked if we could come back (it was about 9:30am) around the end of the day Saturday but he said since their day ended at 2:30, he didn't think that would work. My husband works all day M-F so I would have to pick it up Monday evening. I got a call Saturday afternoon, around 1-1:30, with the unfortunate news that they were unable to fix the keyless entry. Apparently during the process of diagnosing my issue, some sort of module (I think that's what I was told, maybe a control module?) now needed to be replaced. The part was not in stock and would be arriving Wednesday. Thank the Lord I have an additional vehicle to use so that is not an issue, but we live 40 mins away so making multiple trips is quite an inconvenience and especially with my husbands work schedule. Dropping it off overnight works great, but of course we need somebody to be there to pick the Tiguan back up. This means I won't be able to pick it up again until Saturday unless my husband can get off early. I love the customer service at Valley and realize this was just an unfortunate situation, but it was still a bummer that I wanted to make note of.
