We arrived at 7:50 AM for our 8:00 AM appointment and were the first car in line. I asked the check-in staff three separate times for an estimated duration for our 30,000-mile service and was told it would take no more than 1.5 hours, which seemed reasonable. We walked our four young children (all under age 10) to a nearby McDonald's for breakfast and returned to the dealership at 9:30 AM. At that point, we were surprised to learn that our vehicle had just been taken in for service—1.5 hours after our scheduled appointment time. No one contacted us to inform us of the delay, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. We asked to speak with a manager and requested our keys back to reschedule, especially since our entire family had been waiting. Instead, we were asked to wait another 15 minutes. Then we were told the oil had already been drained and the car would be ready in 20 minutes. It ended up taking 45 more minutes before we could finally leave. This was, hands down, the worst customer service experience we’ve had. We will be taking our vehicle elsewhere in the future, even if it means driving farther.

During my scheduled oil change and inspection service I was given a quote of $800 to replace my front break pads…which is more than double two other quotes I’ve obtained since I declined the service at your dealership. Your quote didn’t include turning the drums or rotors as there was .3 left on the pads.

We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at our dealership. Parts prices vary, and when you buy genuine VW parts from us, they are coming directly from the manufacturer. We do our best to be transparent with each customer. Turning rotors wears them thin quickly, so Volkswagen does not suggest turning them, which is why we did not include turning rotors in our quote.
