I took my vehicle to the local dealership for a recall notice for an engine cover. The customer service was excellent and the service team was polite and professional. However I have concerns about the remedy to the recall. The engine was left exposed and I was told there may or may not be a replacement for the engine cover.

Volkswagen found an issue with these engine covers and decided that it was best for them to be removed until they can release a corrected version. In the meantime, while the cover is off, there is no safety concern or potential for harm to the vehicle due to the missing cover, as it is mainly a cosmetic piece. Once Volkswagen creates a new engine cover, they will notify you and we will replace it for you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
