1. City Center Gallery & Books

We love admiring artwork almost as much as we love perusing books, which is why we were thrilled to discover that at City Center Gallery & Books, you can do both! Located at 112 Hay Street, this store sells used books, making it both affordable and sustainable. However, just because the books have been owned previously doesn’t mean that they are in bad condition. In fact, everything is as good as new!

What makes this store so special is that it isn’t just a place to buy books, but also a cozy space to get to know other readers. Consider joining one of the book clubs here. Maybe in your search for a new favorite novel you will also meet some life-long friends.

2. 2nd & Charles

Books are wonderful, but so are video games, DVDs, and vinyl records. What’s great about 2nd & Charles is that it has all you need and more. You can find this gem of a shop at 1920 Skibo Road. Don’t forget to bring the whole family, because this incredible store truly has something for everyone!

The books, games, DVDs, and music sold at 2nd & Charles are all second-hand, so everything is reasonably priced. Don’t underestimate the variety of things you can find at this store, either! In addition to the previously listed items, you can also find manga, audiobooks, board games, card games, toys, and other random trinkets.

3. Fayetteville State University Store

Are you a student looking to show some college pride? If so, you’re in luck, because at the Fayetteville State University Store, you can shop for books, T-shirts, and other college necessities all at the same time. Located at 1200 Murchison Road, this little store is our favorite place to buy textbooks and other educational materials.

And don’t worry, you don’t have to be a student to shop here. Anyone with a will to learn and a love of books is more than welcome to come by. While you’re here, pick up a T-shirt or two to show some support for your local university, and grab anything else you need, like office supplies, hats, and water bottles.
