Previous Events at Valley Auto World:

In conjunction with the “Heroes Homecoming” event, Valley Auto World and The North Carolina Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association came together to bring the city of Fayetteville a bit of Vietnam era helicopter history. Three helicopters were on display from October 31st-November 9th at Valley Auto world on Sycamore Dairy Road. This display included the LOH’s, Mike Model Gunship and the Cobra Gunship. This free exhibit gave the public an opportunity to view the evolution of the helicopter gunship at the only location in the United States outside of the Army Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker, AL. The North Carolina Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association (NCVHPA) was founded in 1989. The Chapter’s goal is “…to promote and perpetuate the bonds of brotherhood that binds a group of men who have shared and survived an experience fraught with danger yet filled with the essence of pride and satisfaction.” The members endeavor to represent the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots in an atmosphere of decorum that focuses a light of respect and admiration upon all veterans.
